Welcome to this blog

Welcome to The Centrist Aspie. This blog is written by somebody with Asperger's Syndrome who happens to fall slap bang in the middle of the political compass.

I feel that centrism has alot of stick in the political world, especially in the UK. Universities will slam you for being too right leaning, gammons will call you "leftie scum" and the only centrist party with seats want to cancel Brexit.

The reality however, for many centrists, is that we are often the ones finding compromises. Now of course, there will always be exceptions to this, for example it is very difficult to find compromise when a decision is binary, Brexit being the perfect example of this.

So before you start to read my opinions of the hell hole that is UK politics, here are some ground rules:

  1. Free Speech is welcome just make sure you back up your arguments with relevant sources. There are people on the far-left and far/alt-right that like to spout their opinions with 0 evidence apart from their one share of a blog entry from the relevant echo chamber. You might disagree with what I write and you are more than welcome to, just make sure you bring the appropriate sources with you.
  2. DON'T READ THIS IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED/NOT WILLING TO HAVE YOUR OPINIONS CHALLENGED. Regardless of what some people think/say, snowflakes live everywhere on the political spectrum and each one is equally as annoying. Also one of the downside of centrism is that at some point everybody and their dog are going to disagree with you.
So without further ado, sit back and enjoy this little blog.

Signed
